Stanley is Back in Chicago


The Hawks did it! The Chicago Blackhawks clinched the series on Monday night, and won the Stanley Cup! Check out the inspirational cookies sold in the days before the big hockey game. They were created by Central Continental Bakery (left) and Little Goat (right).

The Stanley Cup is now making appearances all over Chicago — at restaurants, bars, rooftops, radio stations, etc. Last night, the boys brought the Cup to Wrigley Field, for a walk on the grass at the ballpark, before the Chicago Cubs game. Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews threw out the first pitch while the Hawks gathered around the pitcher’s mound.

And yes, I was there to see it. But I’m including this Chicago Tribune picture, because my photos are nowhere near as good as the one above. I was a little bit farther away, you see.

But you knew I wouldn’t miss that magical moment with my two favorite Chicago sports teams, right?
